Delticom has a successful start in 2004 :
plus 40 percent of turnover in the first quarter

Present in 12 European countries now that the Italian tyre shop- www.gommadiretto.it goes online

Hannover, 06.05.2004. - Hanover`s Delticom Co. .increased their turnover in the first quarter of the running business year 2004 (deadline: 31.12.2004) by about 40 percent ,i.e 13.6 million euros (Q1 2003: 9.7 Mil. euros) in comparison to the same period of the previous year . Moreover,this rise in the company`s turnover clearly reflects that Internet users are more and more willing to buy car accesories online. The first quarter shows a very good start for Delticom in the new business year ", explains Andreas Prüfer, board of directors of the on-line trading venture . The first quarter of the year is usually quite slow in the tyre business.We are very glad this rule does not apply to us,though.After all, the turnover of business to customer sales has risen by 90 percent.


Delticom`s new products like oil, car parts, batteries,carports or jet bags have also been positively accepted by customers. Private customers ordered above all jetbags,silencers, brake pads and shock- absorbers. Garages mainly ordered oil devices, batteries, fan belts, brake parts and also shock absorbers. In the first quarter of the running 2004 business year new opportunities have been presented: to make car insurances and buy new and used cars by installments or on lease through the cooperation partners of the German shop www.refendirekt.de.One such partner would be the AXA company.
Besides, in the first three months of 2004, a cooperation has been set up with shopping24.de, a member of the Otto-Group.

www.refendirekt.de is now represented on the Internet Shopping-Mall. All in all, Delticom is planning on a turnover of 65 million Euro in 2004, as oposed to 49,6 million Euro in 2003.

Online tyres in Bella Italia

In the first quarter of 2004, Delticom went online for the first time on the Italian market and opened the online tyre shop in March . Through www.gommadiretto.it , Italian customers can receive the tyre offer of the European leader in Internet tyre sales. More than 40 tyre brands and 10.000 tyre profiles at the lowest prices possible are there to choose from. Delivery is free of charge to any address of the customer`s choice and it takes place within three ot four working days. Through this shop we are also present on the South European market. Italy is the twelfth country where we have an Internet tyre shop online, says Rainer Binder, also on Delticom`s board of directors. Meanwhile Delticom is represented besides Italy and Germany in Switzerland, Austria, France, England, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain.More shops ,this time in Eastern Europe are to go online later this year . The number of partner garages throughout Europe has risen in the first quarter of the year to about 3.400, as opposed to last year`s 2.500.
