Delticom further on success course
- once again a strong gain in turnover in the first half of 2004

Delticom goes east - new shops in east european countries
Delticom AG, Hannover
The successful online trading company Delticom takes stock.
The company increased its total turnover in the first half of the ongoing business year 2004 (effective date: 31.12.2004) by 54% percent to 34 million euro (1. half year 2003: 22Mil.euro) in comparison to same period in the previous year.

Hannover, 21.07.2004. Delticom Managing Director Rainer Binder ascribes the sustained upward trend of the company, amongst other things, to the fact that the enterprise is in the position to be able to conduct a consequential price politic. "That the success curve is further steep on the rise, attests to our outstanding price-performance relationship", commented Rainer Binder on the secret of success. That Delticom has been unaffected by the usual summer slump in the sector, also pleases Andreas Pruefer, likewise Managing Director and co-founder of the smart business idea. "We are, as the only online-shop for car parts, under the 10 most accessed automobile websites in Germany (see FAZ.net, stand April 2004). We register daily around 50.000 interested parties on our website", Andreas Pruefer explained.

The constantly growing client base - on a national and international basis - confirms the company's success concept. As a result of this, in the B2C-area, the online mail order company gained a considerable turnover in its core business (tyres) not only in Germany but also in its large neighbour France. An increase in turnover has also been registered in Switzerland , Great Britain, Sweden and Austria.

Consequently, in the customer-business area (B2C) turnover in the first half-year of 2004 also rose to 26 mil. euro. For 2004 Delticom maintains therewith its expectation in turnover of 65 mil. euro

Satisfied customers are Delticom's capital. Buyers are not only lured to the Web by attractive, continually updated offers but the Company has also understood, that the client expects a maximum in internet-service. It is because of this that the company today is the European market leader in online tyre trading. In total, eight service pages are available to interested clients, including the offer of around 3660 service partners (fitting stations), whose number is also steadily on the rise. The client is not just left to his own devices; in the tyre portal from Delticom - for the UK www.mytyres.co.uk, as well as in www.tyretest.com - potential tyre consumers can obtain professional advice regarding every aspect of the products, and access professional test reports from the media and commentary from tyre customers. Further pages provide information and advice regarding batteries, rims, complete wheels and auto accessories. In addition, six call centres with around 160 employees are active Mondays to Fridays from 7.00h-22.00h for European clients. Normally, incoming e-mails are able to be competently answered within only 24 hours.
